Re: Amule crashes just while downloading files

To check what's happening on latest SVN version simply take a look at

https://code.google.com/p/amule/source/checkout

As reported on that page, to download, the first time, the source code (current version), you simply have to use the command

svn checkout http://amule.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ amule-read-only

This will download "trunk" in a directory named "amule-read-only" (this dir will be created on current path).

Later, if you want to update sources, you simply have to use:
cd amule-read-only
svn update

NOTE: obviously this requires that you install "svn" (or "subversion": consider "svn" as the "short name"). If you don't know subversion, for basic use you need only "svn checkout" the first time and then "svn update" to update the dir initially downloaded with "svn checkput".
If you want to know more about subversion I strongly recommend to look for "SVNBOOK" (maybe http://svnbook.red-bean.com/ ?)

Bye,
Mr Hyde

Re: Amule crashes just while downloading files

Thanks, Im trying now to compile and as the INSTALL file says im running "./configure", "make" and "make install", but after running "make", I get an error:

Re: Amule crashes just while downloading files

To say the truth, when I open the directory, I didn't find the configure file, so I tried to run "sh autogen.sh" and get this:

and the I find the configure file.

Re: Amule crashes just while downloading files

Current SVN versions have no configure.sh file, you have to generate it using autogen.sh.
In my experience, on Ubuntu distro, it's better to use
bash ./autogen.sh
And again, probably you lack some of required libs/tools used to build amule.
Check page 2 of this thread (first and second post of the page).
Bye,
Mr Hyde

Re: Amule crashes just while downloading files

Thanks, amule svn is running now in my computer.

The only thing I had to create during compilation was this symlink: /usr/include/cryptopp++/libcryptopp.a -> /usr/lib/libcryptopp.a
